HOLY WRITING, BATMAN. I should write a real review for this but my head is too busy spinning, my heart too sore. It's such an emotional roller coaster of a book. It's got a little of everything good: action, romance, suspense...you name it. Another brilliant tale by Ted Dekker and Erin Healy.
Jennifer Echols just keeps getting better and better. Each one of her books is nearly impossible to put down and the characters are so real. This is the best one yet. (Though I still have a soft spot for Love Story.)
This was torture. Probably because I read it for school.Great characters though. (Most of them...I dunno. Lorry, Pross, Sydney, Darnay, Lucie, Doctor Manette...those guys were good. Might'a missed one or two.)
I almost didn't read this one merely because of other people's opinions. I should know by now that I like things others don't but I apparently still need some time to get it through my mind. I still very much enjoyed the sequel to "Poison Study" and I devoured "Fire Study" today also. It feels good to be done the series.
Ms Brian wrote a fun story with a lot of drama and some really interesting bits...but at the end I found myself disappointed by her lack of problem resolving. She skips the hard part and goes straight from the conflict to after the resolution without explaining it. Frustrating, that. That is one of the reasons the book does not get 4 stars from me.
